Job summary

IPOS International in Singapore invites a motivated student for a software engineering support internship. You will collaborate with product managers and engineers to build and enhance a public-facing platform using modern software practices, gaining hands-on experience in agile delivery, cloud technologies, cybersecurity awareness, and DevOps.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Diploma or Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related discipline.
• Interest in software engineering and technology innovation.
• Basic proficiency in Java, with exposure to JavaScript or Python considered advantageous.
• Familiarity with Git or platforms such as GitHub or GitLab would be advantageous.
• Exposure to cloud platforms, APIs, web development, or databases would be beneficial.
• Curious mindset with a willingness to learn and experiment.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing and enhancing platform features.
• Apply secure-by-design principles and secure coding practices under the guidance of the software engineering team.
• Assist the team in understanding product requirements and translating them into technical tasks or simple solution components.
• Participate in coding, debugging, testing, and troubleshooting activities.
• Assist with API integration, data processing, and system configuration tasks where applicable.
• Contribute to the preparation of technical documentation, user guides, and development artefacts.
• Participate in agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.
• Assist in preparing and executing test cases.
• Support user acceptance testing (UAT) and defect tracking activities.
• Help investigate, reproduce, and document system issues.
• Review system logs under supervision and assist with investigating and resolving issues.

Position Summary

Software Engineering Support
