Job summary

Google Singapore is seeking software engineers to help build next-generation technologies at scale. You will work on projects essential to Google Pay, with a focus on high-throughput, reliable, and secure systems across mobile, web, and backend environments.

You will collaborate with PM/UX and leverage AI-assisted engineering to accelerate delivery, impacting hundreds of millions of users globally in payments and related flows.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 2 years of experience with software programming in C++, Java, Python or Go.
• 2 years of experience with data structures and algorithms.
• Experience in mobile app, web, full-stack or backend development.
• Experience working effectively with Product Manager (PM)/UX to drive features end-to-end.
• Experience building systems that scale to millions of users globally.
• Experience working on DevAI for agentic coding and productivity.

Responsibilities

• Design and deploy features across Google Pay's mobile, web, and backend ecosystems, focusing on seamless Remote Procedure Call (RPC) integration and UI excellence.
• Lead technical designs for robust backend services and data processing pipelines that support massive-scale growth experiments.
• Ensure long-term feature reliability by building comprehensive monitoring, alerting, and automated performance tracking.
• Contribute to engineering excellence by participating in design reviews, improving code quality, and contributing to technical discussions within the team.
• Leverage DevAI and agentic coding workflows to accelerate end-to-end development, setting a high standard for AI-assisted engineering productivity within the team.
