Job summary

Google Pay Growth and Communications team in Singapore is seeking a Software Engineer to design and deploy scalable features for the Pay platform across mobile, web, and backend systems. You will work with PM/UX to drive end-to-end features and leverage AI-assisted tooling to accelerate delivery.

Ideal candidates have a Bachelor's degree and 2 years in software programming (C++, Java, Python, or Go) with an emphasis on scalable systems and cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 2 years of experience with software programming in C++, Java, Python or Go.
• 2 years of data structures and algorithms (preferred).
• Experience with mobile app, web, full-stack or backend development.
• Experience working with PM/UX to drive features end-to-end.
• Experience building scalable systems for millions of users.

Responsibilities

• Design and deploy features across Google Pay mobile, web, and backend ecosystems.
• Lead technical designs for robust backend services and data processing pipelines.
• Ensure long-term feature reliability with monitoring, alerts, and performance tracking.
• Contribute to engineering excellence through design reviews and code quality improvements.
• Leverage DevAI and agentic coding workflows to accelerate end-to-end development.
