Job summary

Google Singapore is seeking a software engineer to design, build, and operate scalable backend services and APIs in Java/C++/Go/Python, contributing to real-time growth campaigns and payments-related capabilities.

You will collaborate with product, data science, risk and UX teams across Singapore and US to deliver high-throughput systems with strong transactional guarantees and low latency, while exploring AI-assisted development improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 2 years of experience in software engineering with programming in Java, C++, Go, or Python.
• 2 years of experience designing, building, and operating scalable back-end distributed systems.

Responsibilities

• Design, implementation, and deployment of scalable back-end services, platform components, and APIs in Java/C++ supporting real-time event streaming and growth campaigns.
• Build high-performance communications infrastructure that delivers personalized, contextual messages across mobile, web, and checkout surfaces.
• Architect resilient, idempotent financial settlement workflows and digital voucher vaulting systems with strict transactional consistency and anti-abuse controls.
• Design low-latency feature stores and telemetry pipelines to support high-velocity A/B testing and causal attribution, in partnership with data science.
