Job summary

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
• Minimum 3 years in similar role with frontend and backend expertise.
• Experience with JSP/JavaScript/jQuery/ReactJS; RESTful APIs; J2EE/WebLogic/Tomcat.
• Knowledge of SQL databases (MS SQL/Oracle/PL/SQL) and Git.

Job description

Role Overview

• Maintain and enhance IT applications, including implementing new enhancements, troubleshooting live issues to identify root causes, and providing workable solutions to fix issues.
• Redevelop existing e-services onto cloud infrastructure and ensure compliance with security (AIAS) requirements.
• Perform design, programming, integration, and system testing; assist users in User Acceptance Testing (UAT); and prepare documentation.
• Generate unit tests and end-to-end test scripts using Azure technologies.
• Troubleshoot, identify, and resolve issues, and develop automated test cases to prevent recurrence of similar issues.
• Oversee all enhancements and fixes through to deployment in testing and live environments within agreed timelines, working with end users, server administrators, database administrators, and system analysts supporting the IT systems.

Experienceand Skills Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information/ Inforcomm Technology, Computer Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 3 years of working experience in this role, with good experience in the following skills/technologies:
  • Frontend
    • JSP, JavaScript, jQuery, AJAX/JSON, ReactJS, SOAP(Simple Object Access Protocol)
  • Backend
    • J2EE (WebLogic, Tomcat) or Struts or Spring MVC or Spring Cloud or Spring Boot
    • JDBC Template, My Batis framework
    • RESTful APIs
    • MS SQL or Oracle or PL/SQL
  • OtherRequirements
    • Good communication skills and the ability to:
      • Understand and communicate in English, in speech and writing.
      • Work with other members in a dynamic and fast-moving team.
      • Work independently with minimum supervision.

    • At least 3 years of good working knowledge in version control software such as Git.
