Job summary

QUESS SELECTION & SERVICES PTE. LTD. seeks a hands-on Senior Full Stack Developer to design, develop, test, and optimize enterprise applications.

You will implement robust backend with Java/Spring Boot and deliver responsive frontend using modern frameworks (Angular/React/Vue.js). Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 8+ years of hands-on experience in designing, developing, enhancing, and maintaining enterprise-level applications.
• Full stack application development.
• Strong proficiency in Java and Spring Boot for backend development.
• Frontend technologies such as Angular, React, or Vue.js.
• HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and TypeScript.
• Developing and consuming RESTful APIs and web services.
• Relational databases such as Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, or PostgreSQL.
• Familiarity with Git and version control practices.
• Maven or Gradle for build and dependency management.
• Software design patterns and OOP principles.
• Application debugging and performance tuning.
• Secure coding practices and software security.
• Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• CI/CD and DevOps practices are an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Participate in solution design discussions and recommend technical approaches to meeting requirements.
• Perform impact analysis, effort estimation, and feasibility assessments for enhancements and features.
• Develop and execute unit tests to ensure software quality before deployment.
• Support integration, system testing, UAT, deployment, and post-production validation.
• Investigate and resolve defects, incidents, and performance issues within SLAs.
• Review code for architecture compliance, secure coding, and guidelines.
• Implement enhancements to improve performance, reliability, and scalability.
• Collaborate with BAs, Solution Architects, QA, DevOps, and other stakeholders across SDLC.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies: sprint planning, backlog refinement, stand-ups, retrospectives, releases.
• Prepare and maintain technical docs: designs, deployment, configs, operations.
• Ensure compliance with security policies, regulatory requirements, and governance.

Job Responsibilities

• Participate in solution design discussions and recommend appropriate technical approaches to meet business and system requirements.
• Perform impact analysis, effort estimation, and technical feasibility assessments for application enhancements and new features.
• Develop and execute unit test cases, ensuring software quality prior to integration and deployment.
• Support integration testing, system testing, User Acceptance Testing (UAT), deployment activities, and post-production validation.
• Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve application defects, production incidents, and performance issues within agreed service levels.
• Review application code to ensure compliance with architecture standards, secure coding practices, and organisational development guidelines.
• Implement software enhancements and optimise application performance, reliability, and scalability.
• Collaborate with Business Analysts, Solution Architects, Quality Assurance teams, DevOps engineers, and other stakeholders throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, backlog refinement, daily stand-ups, retrospectives, and release planning.
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation, including design documents, deployment procedures, configuration details, and operational guides.
• Ensure applications comply with organisational security policies, regulatory requirements, and software governance standards.
• Provide technical guidance and knowledge sharing to junior developers through code reviews and mentoring.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by recommending modern development practices, tools, frameworks, and automation opportunities.
• Support production releases, application monitoring, and root cause analysis to ensure system stability and availability.
• Communicate technical progress, risks, dependencies, and implementation status effectively with project teams and stakeholders.
• Keep up to date with emerging technologies and industry best practices to support continuous innovation and delivery excellence.

Required Skills
