Job summary

DCI CONSULTANTS PRIVATE LIMITED is seeking a Software Engineer to support the development, testing, deployment and maintenance of Video Surveillance System client applications. You will develop thick client apps in C# and WPF, integrate APIs, and manage MSSQL databases to support project milestones.

The role includes SIT, OSAT, and deployment activities, documentation, and collaboration with onsite teams to ensure successful project delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in CS/SE/IT.
• Relevant software development experience in enterprise or mission-critical systems.
• Strong C#/.NET and WPF development with MSSQL knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain thick client applications and APIs using C# and WPF.

• Configure project laptops/workstations for testing/production.

Role Summary

We are seeking a Software Engineer to support the development, testing, deployment, and maintenance of Video Surveillance System (VSS) client applications. The role involves software development, system integration, onsite testing activities, and support for project delivery milestones.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain thick client applications and APIs using C# and WPF.
• Design, develop, and optimize database solutions using Microsoft SQL Server (MSSQL).
• Prepare, execute, and review test plans, test cases, and test reports.
• Support System Integration Testing (SIT), Operational Site Acceptance Testing (OSAT), and production deployment activities.
• Configure and prepare project laptops and workstations for testing and production environments.
• Troubleshoot software, database, and system integration issues.
• Prepare technical documentation and authority sign-off documentation.
• Develop and enhance VSS client functionalities, including:
• Customized Alarm Manager
• Authorization and management of Live View Preset Views
• Collaborate with project teams, stakeholders, and onsite personnel to ensure successful project delivery.

Technical Requirements

Mandatory Skills

• Strong proficiency in C# .NET development.
• Strong proficiency in Windows Presentation Foundation (WPF) for thick client application development.
• Experience in API development and integration.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server (MSSQL), including database design, query optimization, and troubleshooting.
• Experience in software testing methodologies and test documentation.
• Familiarity with system deployment, application configuration, and production support.

Preferred Skills

• Understanding of video streaming protocols.
• Experience with Milestone Video Management System (VMS).
• Knowledge of video surveillance, security, or command-and-control systems.
• Experience supporting SIT, UAT, OSAT, or site deployment activities.

Qualifications
