Job summary

MANPOWER STAFFING SERVICES (SINGAPORE) PTE LTD is seeking a software engineer to contribute to incremental improvements and bug fixes in our automation projects. You will analyze customer issues, implement solutions within existing machine applications, and assist with engineering change requests.

You will test new releases, work with version control tools, maintain engineering documentation, and travel to customer sites for beta testing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree required in Electrical/Computer Engineering or Software Engineering.
• 0–3 years in automation/equipment industries, with embedded software and HMI experience.
• Experience with agile software development, QC and test-driven development.

Work experience

• 0- 3 years relevant experience in automation / equipment industries.
• Significant practical experience in software engineering and testing (embedded software and HMI environment)
• Experience with agile software development processes, quality control and test driven development

Expertise and methodology

• Proficiency in Microsoft (C++. VB6) using Microsoft Visual Studio 6.0 and "C" and "C++*". Able to consider candidates from C# background for software Support.
• Knowledge of UML and state machines; State Transition Diagrams
• Experience with version control in Mercurial / GIT is good to have
• Experience with SECS/GEM is good to have
• Travel requirement
