Job summary

Manpower Singapore is seeking a software engineer to contribute to automation and equipment projects. You will implement bug fixes, analyze customer and production issues, and test releases on real equipment, coordinating with R&D and CIT teams.

Candidates should have a Bachelor in Electrical/Computer Engineering or Software Engineering, 0–3 years in automation, hands-on embedded software and HMI, plus knowledge of UML/state machines, C/C++, VB6, Visual Studio 6.0, and openness to C#.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering (Mechatronic) or Software Engineering.
• 0–3 years relevant experience in automation / equipment industries.
• Significant practical experience in software engineering and testing (embedded software and HMI environment).
• Experience with agile software development processes, quality control and test driven development.

Responsibilities

• Incremental improvements/development of software modules.
• Analyze customer/production issues and implement solutions within the existing machine application (bug fixing).
• Investigate and implement engineering change requests.
• Test new releases by simulating processes and on actual equipment.
• Work with version control tools and issue tracking tool for software release management.
• Create and maintain engineering documentation for software development, bug-fixes and releases.
• Ensure fast response to customer and production issues.
• Provide engineering support to assigned R&D/CIT projects.
• Install and (beta) test new software release/fix at customer sites; travel may be required.
