Job summary

Manpower Singapore is seeking a software engineer to contribute to automation and equipment projects. You will implement bug fixes, analyze customer and production issues, and test releases on real equipment, coordinating with R&D and CIT teams.

Candidates should have a Bachelor in Electrical/Computer Engineering or Software Engineering, 0–3 years in automation, hands-on embedded software and HMI, plus knowledge of UML/state machines, C/C++, VB6, Visual Studio 6.0, and openness to C#.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering (Mechatronic) or Software Engineering.
• 0–3 years relevant experience in automation / equipment industries.
• Significant practical experience in software engineering and testing (embedded software and HMI environment).
• Experience with agile software development processes, quality control and test driven development.

Responsibilities

• Install & (beta) test new software release/fix at customer sites (ability to travel needed)

Education

Bachelor Degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering (Mechatronic) or Software Engineering

Work experience

• 0- 3 years relevant experience in automation / equipment industries.
• Significant practical experience in software engineering and testing (embedded software and HMI environment)
• Experience with agile software development processes, quality control and test driven development

Expertise and methodology

• Proficiency in Microsoft (C++. VB6) using Microsoft Visual Studio 6.0 and "C" and "C++*. Able to consider candidates from C# background.
• Knowledge of UML and state machines; State Transition Diagrams
• Experience with version control in Mercurial / GIT is good to have
• Experience with SECS/GEM is good to have
