Job summary

OCBC (Singapore) is seeking an experienced Software Engineer (UI) at AVP level to design, develop, and test front-end applications for wealth management and private banking. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable UI solutions using React.js, JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3.

You will work closely with stakeholders to translate business requirements, implement reusable components, and ensure accessibility and integration with RESTful APIs and backend services, while

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• 5–10 years of front-end development experience in banking/financial services preferred.
• Proficient in React.js, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3; familiar with React testing libraries.
• Experience with RESTful APIs and asynchronous requests.
• Knowledge of DevOps practices and CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Bitbucket, Ansible).
• Experience with Agile methodologies and Git version control.

What you do

• Design, develop, and test software applications for wealth management and private banking using various programming languages and technologies.

Who you are

• A degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  
• 5-10 years of experience in front‑end development, preferably in a banking or financial services environment.
  
• Highly proficient in React.js, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3 and other UI‑related technologies; familiar with React testing libraries.
  
• Skilled in RESTful API integration and asynchronous request handling.
  
• Exposure to DevOps practices and CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Bitbucket, and Ansible.
  
• Experienced in Agile development methodologies and version control systems like Git.
  
• Advantageous (optional):
  
  • Understanding of Micro Frontends (MFE) frameworks such as Qiankun.
    
  • Knowledge of Material-UI or similar component libraries.
    
  • Experience with microservices and backend technologies (Java, Spring Boot, and databases) or as a Full-Stack Developer.
    
• Enjoys tackling challenging problems and turning them into innovative, practical solutions.
  
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross‑functional teams.
