Job summary

Activate Interactive Pte Ltd is a Singapore-based technology consultancy hiring a Software Engineer on a fixed-term contract (1 October 2026 to 30 September 2027) for its Co-Development Business Unit. You will work on projects for Singapore Government Agencies, turning ideas into production-ready web products across frontend, backend, databases and cloud.

You will collaborate with product managers and designers, implement CI/CD, testing, observability and security, and drive architecture choices

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems or related discipline.
• 7+ years of hands-on software engineering experience, with recent experience actively writing and shipping production code.
• Strong, recent Node.js experience and familiarity with the modern Node.js ecosystem.
• Proven experience building a web system end-to-end - including frontend, backend, databases, APIs, infrastructure and deployment.
• Strong understanding of modern web architecture, cloud infrastructure, CI/CD and software engineering practices.

Responsibilities

What will you do?

Requirements

• Startup, innovation-team or fast-moving product experience, with a strong bias for action and delivery
• Experience with AI-assisted development workflows, including AI coding agents, code generation or automated code review
• Track record of taking a product from idea or prototype through to production
• Experience working in cross-functional agile product teams with product managers and designers

You favour learning through delivery and iteration while maintaining the engineering discipline needed for products to grow beyond the initial experiment.
