Job summary

Activate Interactive Pte Ltd in Singapore is hiring a Software Engineer to design, develop, test, and deploy government digital services and citizen-facing platforms.

The role requires 3+ years with modern JavaScript web apps, React.js frontend experience, and backend work with Go or Node.js, plus testing and database skills. It is a fixed-term, 1-year engagement with opportunities to work on cloud deployments.

• Experience with Docker containers, CI/CD, and deployment on cloud services (AWS/PaaS).

This is a fixed term contract role. The engagement is 1 year.

What will you do?

• Design, develop, test, and deploy software applications and systems that support government digital services and citizen-facing platforms.

What are we looking for?

• Minimum 3 years experience (or equivalent level of skill) with modern web applications using JavaScript.
• Experience in frontend development with React.js
• Experience in backend development using Go and/or Node.js is highly advantageous
• Experience with modern web applications in JavaScript is highly advantageous
• Experience in automated testing using JavaScript testing frameworks/libraries such as Karma, Mocha, Chai and Sinon is highly advantageous.
• Experience with database management/usage (both relational and non-relational), and handling of data in different environments is highly advantageous.
• Experience in using Docker containers, development of CI/CD pipelines, and deployment using cloud services such as AWS/PasSes/your own private servers is a nice bonus.
• Experience in the software development lifecycle in an Agile context is a plus point.
• Experience in Scrum is a plus point.
