Job summary

RECRUIT LYNC PTE. LTD. in Canberra seeks an IT professional to maintain and optimize the SMILE ERP system (Access/PostgreSQL), and support legacy VFP8 systems during migration.

You will develop Python-based automation and reporting tools, manage DXF processing pipelines, and troubleshoot performance while providing production support during ERP outages, with involvement in AI/ML initiatives such as OCR and component detection.

Qualifications

• Degree in IT or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience.
• Proficient in MS Access and VBA.
• Experience with PostgreSQL and Python automation.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and optimize the SMILE ERP system (Access/PostgreSQL), ensuring reliability and performance.
• Support and maintain legacy VFP8 systems during transition periods to ensure business continuity.
• Develop Python-based automation and reporting tools for data extraction, processing and analysis.
• Develop and maintain DXF processing pipelines, including file parsing, validation and visualization.
• Troubleshoot system issues and improve performance, providing production support during ERP outages.
• Support AI/ML initiatives such as OCR and component detection, with clear documentation.

• Basic (Up to $3800) + VB + $25 mobile + $500 medical
• Canberra
• Mon – Fri, 8:15am – 5:15pm

Your Responsibilities

• Maintain and optimize the SMILE ERP system (Access/PostgreSQL), ensuring system reliability, functionality, and performance.
• Support and maintain legacy VFP8 systems during transition periods to ensure business continuity and smooth system migration.
• Develop Python-based automation and reporting tools for data extraction, processing, analysis, and operational efficiency.
• Develop and maintain DXF processing pipelines, including file parsing, validation, visualization, and workflow optimization.
• Troubleshoot system issues and improve performance, while providing timely production support during ERP outages and critical incidents.
• Support AI/ML initiatives such as OCR, component detection, and scheduling optimization, while maintaining clear documentation of code, processes, and system architecture.

You will need

• Degree in IT
• Min 2 years of relevant experience in the same position.
• Proficient in MS Access + VBA + PostgreSQL
• Python scripting & automation
