Job summary

RECRUIT LYNC PTE. LTD. is seeking a Software Engineer to join an established engineering and manufacturing environment in Yishun, Singapore. You will collaborate with IT and production teams to maintain critical systems, build automation, and enhance digital processes used in daily operations.

You will work across ERP systems, Python automation, databases, CAD data, and emerging AI/ML applications, delivering dashboards and reports while documenting architecture and code quality.

Qualifications

• Hands-on Python programming and automation experience.
• Experience with MS Access, VBA and PostgreSQL.
• Exposure to Linux/Ubuntu environments and server administration.
• CAD systems or DXF file formats experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and enhance ERP and internal software systems for day-to-day operations.
• Develop Python-based tools to automate manual tasks and improve reporting.
• Work with PostgreSQL databases, including troubleshooting and performance tuning.
• Support and modernise legacy systems while keeping business operations stable during transition.
• Develop dashboards and internal web-based tools as needed.

Location: Yishun

Salary: Up to $3,800/month

Working Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:15am - 5:15pm

About the Role

We are looking for a Software Engineer to join an established engineering and manufacturing environment. You will work closely with both the IT and production teams to maintain business-critical systems, develop automation tools, and improve digital processes used in day-to-day manufacturing operations.

This is a hands-on role where you will work across ERP systems, Python automation, databases, CAD data and emerging AI/ML applications .

What You'll Do

• Maintain and enhance the company's ERP and internal software systems , ensuring smooth day-to-day operations.
• Develop Python-based tools to automate manual tasks, extract data and improve reporting efficiency.
• Work with databases such as MS Access and PostgreSQL , including troubleshooting and performance optimisation.
• Support and gradually modernise legacy systems while ensuring business operations continue smoothly during the transition.
• Develop and maintain tools for processing CAD/DXF files , including data parsing, validation and visualisation.
• Troubleshoot software and system issues, including providing production support during system outages .
• Work with engineering and production teams to identify opportunities for process automation and digitalisation .
• Participate in AI/ML projects , such as document recognition, component detection and production scheduling optimisation.
• Develop and maintain dashboards, reports and internal web-based tools where required.
• Maintain proper documentation covering code, processes and system architecture.

What We're Looking For

• Diploma/Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology or a related discipline.
• Hands-on experience with Python programming / scripting and automation .
• Familiarity with MS Access, VBA and PostgreSQL .
• Experience working with Linux/Ubuntu environments and basic server administration.
• Exposure to CAD systems or DXF file formats will be an advantage.
