Job summary

DSO National Laboratories in Singapore seeks a Social and Behavioural Scientist to join the Human Systems division. You will explore how people think, feel and act using mixed methods and contribute to defence-related research.

You will work with a multidisciplinary team, translate behavioural insights into practical models, collaborate with computer scientists on data-intensive projects, and conduct field studies with MINDEF/SAF.

Qualifications

• Degree holders with strong grounding in social or behavioural research methods and theory.
• Experience across qualitative, quantitative, and computational approaches is desirable.
• Ability to translate behavioural insights into models and metrics.

Responsibilities

• Conduct research using qualitative, quantitative and computational methods to sense-make behaviours.
• Observe and interpret human behaviour across individual, group and societal levels.
• Develop research approaches, coding frameworks and metrics to analyze data and derive insights on motivation.
• Collaborate with computer scientists to develop technologies and software for data analysis.
• Work in the field with MINDEF/SAF and collaborate with academia and industry.
