DSO National Laboratories in Singapore is seeking an Analytical Chemist to join the Human Systems Division. You will contribute to chemical verification for national security and develop capabilities in GC/LC-MS and NMR analysis.

You will work in a collaborative environment with interdisciplinary project teams, handling toxic chemicals safely while planning and executing analytical studies independently to support defence R&D programs.

Competenze

• PhD/Masters/Bachelor in Chemistry or related field.
• Experience with GC/LC coupled to MS detectors.
• Knowledge of GC, LC and NMR spectroscopy.
• Willingness to handle toxic chemicals.
• Ability to plan and execute projects independently.

Analytical Chemist

In This Role, You Will

• Be part of the Chemical Verification Team to provide verification support for National Security purposes
• Be responsible for building up capability for the analysis of chemicals of relevance in both laboratory and operations settings
• Work closely colleagues in interdisciplinary project teams

Job Requirements

• PhD / Masters / Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry, Applied Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, or Biological Chemistry
• Experienced in the operation and optimisation of gas chromatograph and/or liquid chromatograph coupled to mass spectrometric detectors.
• Possess good understanding of analytical instruments, including Gas Chromatograph, Liquid Chromatograph and Nuclear Magnetic Resonance Spectroscopy.
• Possess a good understanding of organic chemistry.
• Willing to handle toxic chemicals.
• Have the ability to plan and execute projects independently, and work collaboratively.
