Job summary

SBM Group Singapore seeks a skilled carpenter to perform general carpentry and construction works across project sites. You will read drawings, measure, cut timber, and install fixtures to ensure quality, safety, and timely completion.

Responsibilities include forming and dismantling concrete formwork, installing doors and frames, and maintaining tools and work areas in a safe environment. Minimum 2 years' experience preferred; ability to read technical drawings essential.

Qualifications

• Reads and interprets basic drawings and measurements.
• Proficient in timber works and general carpentry.
• Knowledge of formwork for concrete structures.
• Ability to install doors, frames, ceilings, partitions, and fixtures.
• Complies with safety standards and maintains clean work area.

Responsibilities

• Carry out general carpentry and construction works at project sites.
• Read and interpret drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
• Measure, cut, shape, and install timber, plywood, and other materials.
• Construct and dismantle formwork for concrete works (columns, beams, walls, slabs).
• Install doors, window frames, ceilings, partitions, flooring, and fixtures.
• Repair and replace damaged carpentry structures and fittings.
• Operate and maintain carpentry hand tools and power tools safely.
• Ensure quality and safety standards are met.
• Maintain good housekeeping and safe work environment.
• Perform other ad hoc duties as assigned.
