Job summary

Qualifications

Responsibilities

Job Overview

We are looking for a Site Survey Lead to support IoT and smart equipment deployment projects across school sites. The role involves conducting site surveys, preparing Bills of Materials (BOM), coordinating installation activities, and supporting equipment integration and commissioning.

Key Responsibilities

Site Survey & Assessment

• Conduct site surveys at schools to assess existing infrastructure and determine smart equipment requirements.
• Document site conditions, technical specifications, and potential implementation challenges.
• Assess suitable locations for sensors and equipment such as energy meters, water meters, occupancy sensors, temperature sensors, and IoT controllers.

BOM Development

• Prepare Bills of Materials (BOM) based on site survey findings and project requirements.
• Ensure materials and equipment align with project specifications and technical requirements.
• Coordinate with equipment suppliers on material availability.

Installation Coordination

• Plan and coordinate installation activities with subcontractors.
• Provide technical guidance and installation instructions.
• Conduct site inspections to monitor installation progress and quality.
• Ensure works comply with safety requirements, school regulations, and project standards.

IoT Integration & Commissioning

• Support the integration of installed smart equipment with the IoT platform.
• Coordinate with technical teams on device configuration, testing, and commissioning.
• Work with the IoT platform team to troubleshoot connectivity and integration issues.

Stakeholder Management

• Liaise with school representatives to arrange site surveys, installations, testing, and commissioning activities.
• Provide project updates and coordinate schedules with relevant stakeholders.
• Address queries from school staff, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams.

Documentation & Reporting

• Maintain site survey reports, installation records, testing results, and other project documentation.
• Provide regular progress updates to the project team.
• Prepare handover documentation upon project completion.

Background & Experience

• 1-3 years of working experience
• Diploma or Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering, Building Services, or related disciplines will be a plus
• Experience or interest in IoT, facilities management, building automation, or engineering projects is a plus
• Familiarity with MOE projects or education sector environments is advantageous

Technical Skills

• Understanding of (or willingness to learn about) IoT devices, sensors, and building automation systems
• Basic knowledge of network connectivity and system integration
• Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) for documentation and reporting
• Ability to quickly pick up new technologies and systems
