Job summary

HONG TAI CIVIL ENGINEERING PTE. LTD. in Singapore is seeking a capable site assistant to support daily project execution, coordinating with the Project Manager or Engineer to ensure works align with drawings and schedules.

You will supervise subcontractors and in-house workers, monitor progress and quality, and participate in toolbox talks and site meetings to uphold project scope and workmanship standards. Based in Singapore, valid Class 3 driving licence and strong communication are required.

Qualifications

• Secondary Certificate/NiTEC or equivalent.
• At least 2 years of working experience in construction.
• Good understanding of general construction methods and working drawings.
• Class 3 driving license.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Project Manager or Project Engineer in daily execution of work.

Responsibilities

• Ensure installation is carried out as per construction drawings
• Ensure that manpower is effectively deployed to deliver the materials timely
• To monitor the progress and quality of work being performed by workers
• Ensure that works are executed within an acceptable standard of workmanship
• Responsible for attendance to daily site coordination meeting with sub-contractors
• Attend the daily tool box meeting and convey clear instruction accordingly
• Understand and ensure compliance in project requirement and scope of work
• Identify, rectification and handling over of defects after completion.

Requirements:

• Candidate must possess at least Secondary Certificate/NiTEC in Others or equivalent.
• At least 2 Year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
• Good technical knowledge in current construction technologies
• Good understanding of general construction methods in building and structural details (working drawings)
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Class 3 driving license
