Job summary

Qualifications

• Prior hospital or healthcare construction project experience is required.
• Good knowledge of site operations, work sequencing, and coordination.
• Ability to read drawings and follow specifications.
• Strong communication and coordination skills.
• Proficient in basic Microsoft Office applications.

We are seeking an experienced and responsible Site Supervisor to supervise and coordinate daily construction activities for a major hospital project in Singapore. The successful candidate will work closely with the Construction Manager, Site Engineers, subcontractors, and workers to ensure that construction works are carried out safely, efficiently, and in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, quality standards, and project schedules.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily construction activities at the project site.
• Monitor workers and subcontractors to ensure works are carried out according to approved drawings, specifications, and work procedures.
• Coordinate daily manpower deployment and work activities at the assigned work areas.
• Monitor construction progress and report work status, delays, and site issues to the Site Engineer or Construction Manager.
• Ensure proper sequencing and coordination of construction activities to avoid delays and work clashes.
• Check workmanship, materials, and completed works to ensure compliance with project quality requirements.
• Assist Site Engineers and Construction Managers in coordinating architectural, structural, M&E, and specialist works.
• Conduct regular site inspections and identify defective, incomplete, or non-conforming works.
• Coordinate with subcontractors to rectify defects and resolve site issues promptly.
• Ensure workers and subcontractors comply with workplace safety requirements, site safety rules, and approved work procedures.
• Monitor the proper use of tools, equipment, materials, and other site resources.
• Assist in site measurements, inspections, testing, and handover activities.
• Maintain daily site records, manpower records, work progress information, and other relevant documentation.
• Attend site coordination meetings and provide updates on work progress and site conditions.
• Coordinate deliveries and ensure materials are properly stored and available for scheduled works.
• Assist with housekeeping and ensure assigned work areas are maintained in a safe and orderly condition.
• Coordinate with other trades and work teams to minimize disruption and avoid clashes.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Site Engineer, Construction Manager, or Project Manager.

Requirements

• Diploma, Nitec, Higher Nitec, or relevant technical qualification in Civil Engineering, Building, Construction, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant site supervision experience in building or construction projects.
• Prior experience in hospital or healthcare construction projects is required.
• Good knowledge of construction site operations, work sequencing, and site coordination.
• Experience supervising workers and subcontractors on construction sites.
• Able to understand and follow construction drawings, specifications, and work instructions.
• Knowledge of workplace safety requirements and safe work practices in Singapore.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
• Able to identify site issues and coordinate timely corrective actions.
• Able to work independently and effectively under project schedules and deadlines.
• Proficient in basic Microsoft Office applications.
