Job summary

DAISO SINGAPORE PTE. LTD. is seeking a Site Selection & Market Research specialist to support strategic store expansion through market mapping, site feasibility, and competitive analysis.

You will provide management and Japan HQ with clear, data-driven insights and reports. The role requires a minimum diploma or degree in Business Administration, Real Estate, or Retail Management, with proven experience in retail expansion, leasing, and vendor management.

Qualifications

• Min. Diploma/Degree in Business Administration, Real Estate, Retail Management, or a related field.
• Proven experience in retail expansion, leasing, or site selection with strong understanding of Singapore shopping mall ecosystem.
• Commercially driven with strong negotiation skills and the ability to secure favourable terms.
• Solid analytical and financial acumen, capable of evaluating project costs, managing budgets, and assessing site feasibility.
• Experience handling vendor relations, procurement, and third-party contractor management.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills, with the ability to synthesise data and present clear reports to Senior Management and overseas headquarters.

Responsibilities

• Market Mapping to inform expansion decisions and catchment analyses.
• Site Feasibility studies including footfall patterns and competitor analysis.
• Commercial Negotiation of lease and terms for new sites.
• Management Reporting with site selection and competitive intelligence reports.
• Budget Tracking and cost management for new store developments.
• Financial Reporting on project costs and status of fit-outs.
• Payment Processing for supplier invoices per company policy.
• Vendor Research to identify potential suppliers for store development materials.
• Sourcing & Quotes to compare options and best value.
• Purchase Orders processing and documentation.
• Vendor Management coordinating with suppliers, contractors and third parties.
• Contract Tracking to ensure deliverables and terms.
• Renewals & Compliance management for contracts and leases.
