Job summary

Recruit Express Pte Ltd is seeking a Workplace Safety and Health Officer (WSHO) to monitor day-to-day site activities and ensure compliance with safety and health requirements. You will work with project teams to implement the Safety and Health Management System and coordinate safety orientations, toolbox talks, inspections, and risk assessments.

The role involves identifying hazards, investigating incidents, following up on corrective actions, and providing timely safety reports and forms.

Qualifications

• Possess a valid Workplace Safety and Health Officer (WSHO) qualification/certificate.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant safety experience within the engineering, construction or project environment.

Responsibilities

• Monitor day-to-day site activities to ensure compliance with workplace safety and health requirements by employees, contractors and subcontractors.
• Conduct regular site safety inspections and identify unsafe acts, unsafe conditions and potential workplace hazards.
• Work closely with project and site operations teams to address safety and health matters.
• Implement and support the Company's Safety and Health Management System at project sites.
• Coordinate and maintain records for site safety orientations, toolbox meetings, inspections and other safety activities.
• Conduct, review and endorse Risk Assessments and ensure appropriate control measures are implemented.
• Identify safety violations and recommend appropriate corrective and preventive actions.
• Investigate workplace incidents, accidents, near misses and safety-related complaints, and recommend follow-up actions.
• Assist in the preparation and maintenance of safety reports, records, documentation and statutory forms.
• Work with contractors and project teams to improve workplace safety practices and operational efficiency.
• Follow up on corrective actions arising from inspections, audits, incidents and Risk Assessments.
• Respond to site safety emergencies and provide support where required
