Job summary

Hudson RPO Asia Pacific is recruiting a Site Quality Engineer, Welding Inspector on a contracting basis of 2 years for a major EPC project in Singapore. You will inspect pumps, valves, pressure vessels and tanks, review QC documents, and ensure compliance with project specs and client requirements.

The role requires a Diploma/Degree in Mechanical Engineering, minimum 5 years QA/QC experience in relevant sectors, and Welding Inspector certification.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of QA/QC experience in Semiconductor, Electronics, Water Treatment, or Industrial projects.
• Welding Inspector certification is required or strongly preferred; Thermoplastic Welding certification is an added advantage.
• Good knowledge of mechanical equipment inspection, technical drawings, P&IDs, and construction site quality processes.

Responsibilities

• Inspect mechanical equipment such as pumps, valves, pressure vessels, tanks, and skids upon delivery and installation.
• Review and maintain quality documents, inspection records, technical drawings, and P&IDs.
• Monitor site activities to ensure compliance with project specifications, quality standards, and customer requirements.
• Investigate quality issues, prepare corrective actions, and follow up until closure.
• Coordinate with clients, suppliers, subcontractors, and project teams on all QA/QC matters
