Job summary

CAREER TREND PTE. LTD. seeks a Project Quality professional to lead welding QA/QC on site in Singapore, preparing quality plans, welding procedures, inspection plans, and witnessing NDT.

The candidate should hold a degree in Mechanical/Structural/Civil Engineering with 3–5 years of QC/QA welding experience, CSWIP 3.1/3.2 or AWS CWI/SCWI, and strong MS Office skills; knowledge of ASME/AWS/ISO standards is preferred. On-site coordination with clients is required.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical / Structural / Civil Engineering.
• 3-5 years of QA / QC experience in welding works, preferably in structural steel / construction.
• Certificate: CSWIP 3.1/3.2 or AWS CWI/SCWI.
• Experience in inspection activities in fabrication and erection works.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Excel/Word/PowerPoint).
• Knowledge of ASME / AWS D1.1 / BS EN and ISO standards.
• Internal Audit knowledge is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Prepares the Project Quality plans and Inspection Test plans according to project specifications.
• Prepares welding procedure specification and conducts welder qualification tests.
• Prepares quality control procedures and repair procedures for welding.
• Conducts stage wise inspections (material/fit up/visual/bolt tightening/painting) for fabrication and erection works.
• Reviews and witnesses non-destructive testing (ultrasonic and magnetic particle testing).
• Liaises with Project Managers/Engineers for day-to-day inspection activities at shop/site.
