A1 Maincon is seeking a Site Engineer / Site Manager to lead day-to-day on-site operations for construction projects in Singapore. You will ensure safety, quality, on-time delivery, and budget adherence while coordinating with clients and subcontractors.

The role requires reading drawings, managing resources, and applying robust site safety and QA practices across automotive dealership or heavy equipment facility projects.

Competenze

• Degree or diploma in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture or related field.
• 1 to 5 years of experience in building and construction projects with main contractor experience.
• Experience in automotive dealerships, heavy equipment facilities or distribution network projects.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural and MEP drawings.
• Proficiency in MS Office and project planning tools; AutoCAD is an advantage.

Our client, A1 Maincon, is a main contractor with a growing team, and they are hiring a Site Engineer / Site Manager to join them. You will run day-to-day site operations on building and construction projects, making sure every job is completed safely, on schedule, within budget and to the required quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

Site Execution and Coordination

• Manage and supervise daily site activities to ensure the smooth execution of construction projects.
• Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers and trades to keep work aligned with the programme.
• Interpret drawings, specifications and contract documents, and ensure works are built accordingly.
• Resolve technical and site issues promptly, raising RFIs and coordinating with design teams where needed.

Programme, Cost and Resources

• Plan and monitor short-term and long-term programmes, and report progress, delays and risks.
• Control site costs, track quantities and support variation and progress claim preparation.
• Manage materials, equipment and labour to meet project requirements.

Quality, Health and Safety

• Enforce site HSE requirements and promote a strong safety culture.
• Implement quality control procedures, inspections and testing, and close out defects and snags.
• Ensure compliance with relevant codes, regulations and authority requirements.

Stakeholder Communication and Handover

• Act as the main on-site point of contact for clients, consultants and subcontractors.
• Prepare daily, weekly and monthly site reports.
• Support testing, commissioning, handover and documentation (as-built records, O&M manuals).

Qualifications and Requirements

• Degree or diploma in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture or a related field.
• 1 to 5 years of experience in building and construction projects, with main contractor experience (required).
• Experience in construction of automotive dealerships, heavy equipment facilities or distribution network projects (required).
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, site safety and quality control.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural and MEP drawings.
• Proficiency in MS Office and project planning tools (e.g. MS Project, Primavera); AutoCAD is an advantage.
