Job summary

YI HONG CONSTRUCTION PTE. LTD. invites a civil engineer with a degree and 5+ years of relevant project experience to join our on-site team in Singapore.

You will review drawings, coordinate with subcontractors, and support the project manager in technical matters on site. This role emphasizes understanding construction sequences, risk assessments, ISO 9001 awareness, and ensuring adherence to quality standards through site inspections and documentation reviews.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent qualification recognized by IES/PES.
• Minimum 5 years' relevant experience in Projects.
• Familiar with construction sequence, Risk Assessment and Method Statement.
• Able to read construction/shop drawings and understand detailing.
• Understand ISO 9001 clauses and being able to implement/audit procedures is an added advantage.
• Assist the project manager with on and off-site meetings pertaining to technical issues.
• Coordinate and monitor work progress at the site including periodical site inspection and attend meetings during the course of the project.
• Able to coordinate well with sub-contractors, RE, and RTO.
• Development of Procedures, detailed Engineering calculations, drawings, and specifications.
• Plan monthly work schedules and set productivity to be achieved.
• Conduct Material Take Off (MTO) and management of List of Materials (LOM).
• Verify technical specifications for adequacy and disseminate to the supervisor.
• Identify and record any product quality problems and implement solutions.
• Any ad-hoc duties as assigned by Commercial Manager.
• 5.5 days work week.

Responsibilities

• Assist the project manager with on and off-site meetings pertaining to technical issues.
• Submit Architectural samples, shop drawings, and related documents to consultants/authorities.
• Coordinate and monitor site work progress, including site inspections and meetings.
• Coordinate with sub-contractors, RE, and RTO.
• Develop procedures, detailed engineering calculations, drawings, and specifications.
• Plan monthly work schedules and set productivity targets.
• Conduct MTO and manage LOM to monitor project progress.
• Verify and disseminate technical specifications to the supervisor.
• Record product quality issues and implement corrective actions.
• Handle any ad-hoc duties as assigned.
