Job summary

HG Group's HG Works team is seeking a Site Engineer to oversee landed housing projects, coordinating with designers, consultants, and subcontractors to ensure on-time delivery with top-quality workmanship.

You will supervise daily site activities, review drawings, and enforce safety and regulatory compliance, while documenting progress and resolving on-site challenges.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2–3 years of site engineering experience in Singapore's construction industry.
• At least 1–2 years of direct experience in landed housing projects (Good Class Bungalows, Semi-Detached, Terrace houses, A&A, or high-end renovations) is a must.

Responsibilities

• Site Supervision & Coordination: Oversee daily construction activities for landed residential projects and coordinate with subcontractors and site workers.
• Quality & Technical Control: Review drawings, identify discrepancies, and ensure workmanship meets HG Group's standards.
• Compliance & Safety: Ensure works comply with BCA, URA and MOM safety regulations.
• Documentation & Reporting: Prepare progress reports and manage site documentation (method statements, inspection records, RFIs).
• Problem Solving: Provide on-site engineering solutions for unforeseen challenges.

About the Role

We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Site Engineer to join our HG Works team. In this role, you will be the key person on the ground, ensuring that our prestigious landed housing projects are executed flawlessly. You will oversee daily site operations, coordinate with designers, consultants, and subcontractors, and ensure that every detail meets our high standards of quality, safety, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Site Supervision & Coordination

  • Oversee daily construction activities for landed residential projects, including A&A, reconstruction, and premium renovations.

  • Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and site workers to ensure smooth workflow and timely project completion.

• Quality & Technical Control

  • Review and interpret architectural, structural, and M&E drawings to identify and resolve discrepancies early.

  • Conduct regular site inspections to ensure workmanship meets design specifications and HG Group's high-quality standards.

• Compliance & Safety

  • Ensure all works comply with BCA, URA, and other relevant authorities' regulations.

  • Enforce workplace safety and health (WSH) regulations in accordance with MOM requirements.

• Documentation & Reporting

  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly site progress reports.

  • Manage site documentation, including method statements, inspection records, and RFIs (Request for Information).

• Problem Solving

  • Provide on-site engineering solutions for unforeseen technical challenges and coordinate rectification works promptly.

Requirements

• Education: Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Building, or a related field.

• Experience:

  • Minimum 2 to 3 years of site engineering experience in Singapore's construction industry.

  • At least 1 to 2 years of direct experience in landed housing projects (Good Class Bungalows, Semi-Detached, Terrace houses, A&A, or high-end renovations) is a must.

• Skills:

  • Proficient in reading and coordinating architectural, structural, and M&E drawings.

  • Strong knowledge of construction sequences, building codes (BCA), and URA regulations.

  • Excellent problem-solving, coordination, and communication skills.

  • Keen eye for detail, particularly in finishing quality, material matching, and geometric alignment.

• Software Proficiency: Experience with AutoCAD, MS Project, and Microsoft Office is a strong advantage.

• Other: Ability to work alternate Saturdays as required.
