Job summary

B-STAR ELITE PTE. LTD. is seeking a seasoned Civil/Structural Engineer to join our Singapore-based team. You will collaborate with a Site Manager, ensure contractual compliance, and coordinate with consultants, subcontractors and QA/QC to meet project quality and safety standards.

Responsibilities include drawing checks, design reviews, site coordination, cost control, and timely project delivery. A strong team player with good communication and adaptability is essential for success.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering recognized by the Professional Engineers Board Singapore.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in various projects.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team.
• Positive working attitude and high adaptability.

Responsibilities

• Work with a Site Manager within the same areas of work.
• Ensure all contractual requirements are complied with according to procedures.
• Liaise with Consultant Representative on project matters.
• Coordinate with Project Manager on project matters.
• Coordinate with all Subcontractors on site and quality issues.
• Collaborate with QA/QC Engineer to meet quality expectations.
• Coordinate with site foremen, supervisors and workers on site.
• Check working drawings and identify discrepancies for resolution.
• Review project specifications, clarifications and construction drawings.
• Ensure site operations comply with the Project Quality Plan (quality, environment, safety).
• Proactively address issues related to quality, environment and health & safety.
• Execute, monitor and ensure timely completion of the project.
• Maintain inspection records of works, materials and completed works.
• Implement cost control measures to meet project budget.
• Assist environmental aspects and EMS-related issues.
• Track variations and claims, and communicate cost impacts to the PM.
• Coordinate with architect, structural engineer and M&E consultants to resolve issues.
• Check quality of work against specifications and requirements.
• Report to the Project Manager on project issues and attend meetings.
• Follow up and expedite project completion, including progress, TOP, and handover per schedule.
