Job summary

JATER INTERNATIONAL CONSTRUCT FORWARD PTE. LTD. is seeking a hands-on Site Engineer / Project Engineer to manage and coordinate site activities across multiple trades in Singapore.

You will ensure works adhere to drawings, specifications, and the project schedule while coordinating with the main contractor, consultants, and subcontractors on technical matters. The role requires a Civil Engineering degree or diploma with 4–6 years of relevant site experience, preferably with subcontractors, and

Qualifications

• Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering, Building, Construction Management, or related field.
• 4–6 years of site experience, preferably with subcontractors.
• Experience in architectural works, façade, metal works, or interior finishes.
• Familiar with shop drawing interpretation, coordination and construction sequencing.

Responsibilities

• Manage and supervise on-site construction activities to ensure works follow drawings, specs, and schedule.
• Coordinate with Main Contractor, consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers on site execution and technical matters.
• Review and interpret shop drawings and ensure proper implementation on site.
• Identify and resolve site issues such as dimensional discrepancies and finishing details.
• Prepare project documentation including RFIs, material submissions, and inspection requests.
• Monitor site progress and track work completion and material delivery.
• Ensure works meet quality standards and authority requirements (e.g. BCA).
• Attend site meetings and provide progress updates.
• Supervise site workers and coordinate multiple trades for smooth workflow.

We are a specialized subcontractor involved in architectural, façade, metal works, and interior finishing works. We are seeking a hands-on Site Engineer / Project Engineer to manage and coordinate site activities across multiple trades.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and supervise on-site construction activities to ensure works are carried out in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, and project schedule
• Coordinate with Main Contractor, consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers on site execution and technical matters
• Review and interpret shop drawings, and ensure proper implementation on site
• Identify and resolve site issues such as dimensional discrepancies, interface clashes, and finishing details
• Prepare and follow up on project documentation including:Request for Information (RFI)Material SubmissionsInspection Requests (IR)
• Monitor site progress and maintain tracking of work completion and material delivery
• Ensure works meet quality standards and comply with relevant authority requirements (e.g. BCA)
• Attend site meetings and provide updates on progress and issues
• Supervise site workers and coordinate multiple trades to ensure smooth workflow

Job Requirements

• Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering, Building, Construction Management, or related field
• Minimum 4-6 years of relevant site experience , preferably with subcontractors
• Experience in architectural works, façade, metal works, or interior finishes
• Strong understanding of shop drawings and construction sequencing
• Hands-on experience in site coordination and problem-solving
• Familiar with Singapore construction practices and site environment
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel; knowledge of AutoCAD is an advantage
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Able to work independently and manage multiple tasks under tight timelines

Preferred Skills / Experience

• Experience in projects involving:Aluminium / façade systemsRailings, stainless steel, or metal worksInterior finishing works (floor, wall, ceiling, painting)
• Experience working with Main Contractors in Singapore
• Knowledge of authority submission and inspection processes
