Job summary

Nakano Singapore (Pte) Ltd is seeking a site coordinator to oversee day-to-day construction activities and ensure adherence to drawings, specifications, and regulatory requirements. You will work with consultants, owners, and subcontractors to maintain schedule and quality on site.

The role requires proactive problem-solving, teamwork across disciplines, and strong communication to support project planning, documentation, and safety compliance. This position is based on-site in Singapore.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with consultants/subcontractors on shop drawings, samples, and method statements; keep parties updated on changes.
• Attend project/technical meetings and resolve site issues with owner/consultants to keep progress smooth.
• Verify site work meets drawings/specs/authority requirements and ensure subcontractors rectify non-compliance.
• Resolve site issues with consultants/subcontractors/suppliers ASAP to minimise delays.
• Ensure documentation is updated and ready for ISO audit.
• Cooperate with safety team and perform duties within safety framework.
• Assist site management in project planning and coordination.
• Plan and schedule work sequences for construction operations.
• Prepare documents for authorities’ submissions (Conquas, RI, TOP).
• Study tender drawings, specs, and contracts to understand requirements.
• Understand critical project criteria related to schedule and productivity.
• Must be a team player; able to work in cross-functional teams.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Able to work independently, proactive and self-motivated.
• Able to guide new and junior staff.

Job description

• To coordinate with consultants / subcontractors on the shopdrawings / samples / method statements and keep all involved parties updated of the latest changes.
• To attend to project / technical meeting and resolve site issues with owner / consultants in order for the site progress to proceed smoothly.
• To verify the work done on site are in accordance to the approved drawings / specifications / authority’s requirement and also ensured that the subcontractor carry out rectification for non-compliance.
• To resolve site issues with consultants / subcontractor / supplier ASAP in order to minimise delay to the construction progress.
• To ensure that the related documentations are updated and ready for ISO audit.
• To cooperate with the safety department and carry out the assigned duties within the safety framework.
• Assist site management team in project Planning & coordination.
• Plan and schedule work sequences for construction operation.
• Arrange and prepare documents for authorities’ submission for Conquas, RI, TOP etc.
• To study tender / construction drawings, specifications, and contracts to understand project requirements.
• Understanding of critical project criteria related to schedule & productivity.
• Must be a team player and ability to work in a cross-functional team environment.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Able to work independently, proactive and self-motivated.
• Able to provide guidance to new staff / junior staff.
