Job summary

GMP Technologies in Singapore is seeking a Site Engineer (Civil Construction, East) to coordinate with consultants and subcontractors on shop drawings, samples and method statements, ensuring all parties stay updated with the latest changes.

You will attend technical meetings, verify on-site work against drawings and specifications, and support ISO audit readiness while assisting planning and scheduling for construction operations in the East region.

Qualifications

• Up to 5 years of relevant experience as site engineer in civil infrastructures.
• Candidates without experience are welcome to apply.
• Ability to read drawings and coordinate with consultants and subcontractors.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with consultants / subcontractors on shop drawings, samples, method statements and keep all involved parties updated of latest changes.
• Attend project / technical meetings and resolve site issues with owner / consultants to maintain progress.
• Verify work on site conforms to approved drawings / specifications / authority requirements and ensure rectification by subcontractors for non-compliance.
• Resolve site issues with consultants / subcontractors / suppliers promptly to minimise delays to construction progress.
• Assist in updating related documentation for ISO audits and ensure readiness for audits.

About the job Site Engineer (Civil Construction, East)

Responsibilities

• To coordinate with consultants / subcontractors on the shopdrawings / samples / method statements and keep all involved parties updated of the latest changes.
• To attend to project / technical meeting and resolve site issues with owner / consultants in order for the site progress to proceed smoothly.
• To verify the work done on site are in accordance to the approved drawings / specifications / authority's requirement and also ensured that the subcontractor carry out rectification for non-compliance.
• To resolve site issues with consultants / subcontractor / supplier ASAP in order to minimise delay to the construction progress.
• To ensure that the related documentations are updated and ready for ISO audit.
• To cooperate with the safety department and carry out the assigned duties within the safety framework.
• Assist site management team in project Planning & coordination.
• Plan and schedule work sequences for construction operation.
• Arrange and prepare documents for authorities' submission for Conquas, RI, TOP etc.
• To study tender / construction drawings, specifications, and contracts to understand project requirements.
• Understanding of critical project criteria related to schedule & productivity.
• Must be a team player and ability to work in a cross-functional team environment.
• Able to provide guidance to new staff / junior staff.
