Job summary

SAMSUNG C&T CORPORATION in Singapore is seeking a Civil Engineer to oversee construction activities, plan, implement and monitor work on our master program while coordinating with engineers, consultants and subcontractors to keep the project on schedule.

The successful candidate will ensure quality standards, prepare reports and method statements, supervise workers, manage safety on site and resolve technical issues in a fast-paced MRT-related environment.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years' relevant experience in civil works.
• Minimum 1 year working experience in LTA underground or MRT project.
• Experience with D/wall, bored piling, bulk excavation and tunnel structure (rebar, concrete), drain construction.
• Experience with dry and wet utilities and traffic diversion.
• LTA project and main contractor experience highly preferred.

Job description

Main Duties:

• Oversee the construction activities and progress, plan, implement and monitor work
• Schedule in accordance to the master and detailed work program
• Liaise with Professional Engineer on the Temporary works
• Liaise with consultants (QPS) for technical issues and coordinate the site activities with subcontractors
• Handle of technical and engineering problems
• Provide guidance to supervisors in relation to construction works, ensure progress according to schedule,
• Maintain quality standards, carry out site inspections and resolve technical issues on time
• Prepare report and method statement whenever necessary
• Manage and control workers and monitor their work closely to keep site safer and neat
• Supervise ongoing site activities closely

Requirements:

• Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent
• Minimum 3 years' relevant experience in civil works
• Minimum 1 years working experience in LTA underground or MRT project
• Experience in managing D/wall, Bored Piling, Bulk Excavation and Tunnel Struture (Rebar, Concrete), Drain construction
• Experience with both dry (Telecom, Power, Gas) and wet (Raw water, Potable Water) utilities and traffic diversion
• Experience with LTA project and main contractor experience highly preferred
