Job summary

A leading engineering firm in Singapore is seeking a Utility Management Engineer to oversee the design and coordination of utilities diversion routes. The ideal candidate will have at least 4 years of experience in large-scale projects and a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering. Responsibilities include liaising with authorities, preparing necessary documentation, and managing site utility activities. This role requires strong communication skills and the ability to work 6 days a week.

Job description
  • Managing the design of utilities diversion routes, supporting structures and other required structures.
  • Coordinate with authorities to facilitate work progress such as PUB, SPPG, LTA etc.
  • Engage and liaise with main contractors/clients & approved subcontractors for any services diversion works.
  • Approval request submission to relevant authorities for services diversion and traffic diversion at site.
  • Incorporate utilities diversion plan to construction schedule.
  • Planning for reinstatement.
  • Preparation of quotations & Purchase Orders to relevant stake-holders.
  • Preparation of CIAR (construction impact assessment report) for PUB/LTA.
  • Establishment of short & long-term overall utility plan.
  • Management of each activity for utility work on site.
  • Preparation & coordination with clients & subcontractors for NCE (notification for commencement of earthworks).
  • Approval for PTD (permit to dig) related utilitiesli>
  • Pegging and demarcation for utilities on site.
  • Regular inspection / petrol / visual check for existing utilities.
  • Establishment of emergency plan for utilities.
  • To check daily, weekly and monthly progress report before submission.
  • Must be able to work 6 days per week.
  • Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
  • Minimum 4 years engineering experience in large scale and complex projects.
