Job summary

FILPAL in Singapore is seeking a Junior Electronic Technician to perform soldering, wire/cable assembly, and functional testing of electronic components in a lab environment, supporting RF systems, prototypes, and test setups. You will read drawings and schematics, assist engineers with prototype builds, document test results, and maintain ESD safety procedures.

Fresh ITE/polytechnic graduates with a Diploma or Certificate in Electrical/Electronics Engineering and at least 1 year of hands-on

Responsibilities

• Perform precise soldering (SMT and through-hole) on PCBs.
• Assemble wire harnesses, crimp connectors, and cable assemblies per drawings.
• Conduct electrical and functional testing with test equipment (multimeter, oscilloscope, power supply).
• Assist engineers in RF test setups, including RF cabling and shielding/grounding practices.
• Support RF/high-frequency circuits including coaxial cables, impedance matching, or RF measurement basics.
• Train and guide the operator on the daily production process.
• Establish production workstation, tool, and equipment arrangement.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
• Support engineers in prototype builds, modifications, and rework activities.
• Document test results, assembly issues, and suggest improvements when appropriate.
• Maintain lab tools and ensure ESD safety procedures are followed.
• Perform basic troubleshooting of faulty boards or assemblies.

The ideal candidate will have practical experience, high attention to detail, and the ability to support RF systems, prototypes, and test setups in a lab environment.

• - Perform precise soldering (surface-mount and through-hole) on PCBs and components.
• - Assemble wire harnesses, crimp connectors, and cable assemblies per drawings and standards.
• - Conduct electrical and functional testing of components and boards using test equipment (multimeter, oscilloscope, power supply, etc.).
• - Assist engineers in RF test setups, including RF cabling and proper shielding/grounding practices.
• - Experience supporting RF or high-frequency circuits, including coaxial cable assembly, impedance matching awareness, or basic RF measurement techniques (e.g., using a spectrum analyzer or VNA).
• - Train and guide the operator on the daily production process.
