FILPAL (S) PTE. LTD. is seeking a skilled Senior Electronics Technician to perform hands-on soldering, wire/cable assembly, and functional testing of electronic components and assemblies in a lab environment.

The role involves supporting RF systems, prototypes, and test setups with attention to detail and strong documentation. The candidate should have a Diploma or Certificate in Electrical/Electronics Engineering and hands-on experience with soldering, testing, and reading schematics.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Certificate in Electrical/Electronics Engineering or equivalent required.
• Fresh graduates and junior-level candidates encouraged to apply.
• For Junior-level candidates: 1+ years hands-on soldering, assembly and testing in lab/manufacturing environment.

Responsabilités

• Perform precision soldering on PCBs and components (SMT and TH).
• Assemble wire harnesses, crimp connectors, and cable assemblies per drawings.
• Conduct electrical and functional testing using appropriate test equipment.
• Assist engineers in RF test setups, cabling, shielding, and grounding practices.
• Document results, issues, and suggests improvements; maintain lab tools and ES D procedures.

Description du poste

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Senior Electronics Technician to perform hands-on soldering, wire/cable assembly, and functional testing of electronic components and assemblies. The ideal candidate will have strong practical experience, high attention to detail, and the ability to support RF systems, prototypes, and test setups in a lab environment.

Key responsibilities:

• Perform precise soldering (surface-mount and through-hole) on PCBs and components.
• Assemble wire harnesses, crimp connectors, and cable assemblies per drawings and standards.
• Conduct electrical and functional testing of components and boards using test equipment (multimeter, oscilloscope, power supply, etc.).
• Assist engineers in RF test setups, including RF cabling and proper shielding/grounding practices.
• Experience supporting RF or high-frequency circuits, including coaxial cable assembly, impedance matching awareness, or basic RF measurement techniques (e.g. using spectrum analyzer or VNA).
• Train and guide the operator on the daily production process.
• Establish production work station, tool, and equipment arrangement.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
• Support engineers in prototype builds, modifications, and rework activities.
• Document test results, assembly issues, and suggest improvements when appropriate.
• Maintain lab tools and ensure ESD safety procedures are followed.
• Perform basic troubleshooting of faulty boards or assemblies.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Certificate in Electrical/Electronics Engineering or equivalent.
• Fresh graduates and junior-level candidates, particularly ITE graduates, are warmly encouraged to apply.
• For Junior-level candidates: 1+ years of hands-on experience in soldering, assembly, and testing in a lab or manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of electronic components and circuits.
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Good communication and documentation skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience working in R&D or prototype environments.
• Ability to assist in developing test setups or jigs.
• Familiar with basic inventory or production tracking systems.
• Familiar with IPC-A-610 or J-STD-001 workmanship standards (certification is a plus).
