Job summary

Ah Hong Holdings Pte Ltd is seeking a Shop Sales Assistant to support daily customer service, sales, and stock handling at our Woodlands store in Singapore. You will greet customers, provide product information, and assist with purchases.

Responsibilities include stocking, shelf replenishment, FIFO checks, cashiering, and maintaining clean displays. Teamwork and reliability are essential to succeed in this role.

• Greet and assist customers with enquiries and purchases, provide product information, pricing and availability, and handle feedback professionally.
• Promote and sell grocery products; receive, check and arrange incoming goods; replenish shelves and maintain displays; check expiry dates and rotate stock using FIFO.
• Assist with stock taking and inventory checking.
• Maintain cleanliness and tidiness of the shop and sales area; ensure proper labeling and display of products; assist with loading/unloading and preparing goods for delivery or collection.
• Monitor stock levels, inform supervisor when low, and assist in receiving deliveries.
• Follow company policies, work with staff to ensure smooth daily operations; perform other duties as assigned.

Job description

Shop Sales Assistant - Roles & Responsibilities

1. Customer Service: Greet and assist customers with their enquiries and purchases.Provide product information, pricing and availability to customers.Handle customer feedback and complaints professionally.
2. Sales & Product Handling: Promote and sell grocery products to customers.Receive, check and arrange incoming goods.Replenish products on shelves and maintain proper product display.Check product expiry dates and ensure proper stock rotation using FIFO (First-In, First-Out).Assist with stock taking and inventory checking.
3. Cashiering & Payments: Operate the cashier/POS system accurately.Handle cash, NETS, credit/debit cards and other payment methods.Issue receipts and ensure all transactions are properly recorded.Perform cash counting and handover according to company procedures.
4. Shop Operations: Maintain cleanliness and tidiness of the shop and sales area.Ensure products are properly labelled and displayed.Assist with loading, unloading and moving goods when required.Pack customers' purchases and prepare goods for delivery or collection.Report damaged, missing or expired products to the supervisor.
5. Stock & Inventory: Assist with regular stock counts.Monitor stock levels and inform the supervisor when products are low.Ensure goods are stored safely and properly.Assist in receiving and checking supplier deliveries against delivery orders.
6. Other Duties: Follow company policies, workplace safety and operational procedures.Work together with other staff to ensure smooth daily shop operations.Perform other duties assigned by the supervisor or management.
