Job summary

ELEVON CONSULTING PTE. LTD. partners with a leading Singapore retailer and seeks a friendly retail assistant to ensure a smooth store operation and a pleasant customer experience. The role combines customer service, cashiering, merchandising, stock handling and general store duties.

You will maintain attractive displays, assist with deliveries and support opening/closing tasks in a 6-day rotating schedule, including weekends and public holidays.

Qualifications

• Retail experience is a plus but not required.
• Comfortable standing for long periods.
• Able to work in a rotating 6-day week including weekends/public holidays.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and assist customers in a friendly manner throughout their shopping experience.
• Perform POS transactions and handle cash and various payments.
• Answer customer questions and help locate products or resolve basic queries.
• Keep shelves stocked and displays neat and presentable.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will play an important role in keeping the store running smoothly while ensuring customers have a pleasant shopping experience. The position involves a mix of customer service, cashiering, merchandising, stock handling and general store operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Welcome and assist customers in a friendly and helpful manner throughout their shopping experience


• Handle cashiering duties, including POS transactions, cash handling and various payment methods


• Respond to customers’ questions and assist them in locating products or resolving basic queries


• Keep shelves well-stocked and ensure merchandise is neatly arranged and presented


• Check product dates and carry out stock rotation when required


• Maintain the appearance of product displays, promotional areas and store fixtures


• Support general housekeeping to keep the outlet clean, organised and presentable


• Assist with incoming deliveries, including unloading and putting away merchandise


• Support daily opening and closing activities according to store requirements


• Follow established safety, hygiene and store procedures at all times


• Work closely with the team to ensure smooth day-to-day outlet operations


• Take on other operational tasks as assigned by the Supervisor or Store Manager

Qualifications

• Comfortable working in a customer-facing retail environment


• Team player who can also manage tasks independently


• Reliable, responsible and willing to pick up new skills


• Comfortable handling cash, POS transactions and basic store duties


• Comfortable with standing for extended periods and performing routine physical tasks


• Previous experience in retail, convenience stores, supermarkets or F&B is advantageous but not essential


• Able to work on a 6 days work-week rotating shift basis, including weekends and public holidays
