Job summary

POET SHIPBUILDING & ENGINEERING PTE. LTD. is seeking a project coordination professional to oversee shipbuilding projects on-site, schedule tasks, and liaise with stakeholders to ensure timely achievement of objectives.

Responsibilities include monitoring progress, preparing reports for the Project Manager, and leading progress meetings to address issues and manage buyer expectations on site.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Engineering, Naval Architecture, Shipbuilding, or related discipline.
• Prior experience in Naval Architecture or Shipbuilding Engineering is advantageous.
• Experience in project coordination, site supervision, or marine/shipyard operations is preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and AutoCAD software.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to liaise effectively with shipyards, owners, and vendors.
• Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee daily activities of assigned shipbuilding projects to ensure smooth operations
• Plan, coordinate, and schedule project tasks to meet established timelines and milestones
• Monitor project progress and prepare detailed reports for the Project Manager to support informed decision-making
• Collaborate closely with shipyard personnel and relevant stakeholders to achieve project goals effectively
• Lead and facilitate progress meetings to identify, track, and resolve project issues promptly
• Manage buyer expectations on site through clear and consistent communication
• Perform ad hoc project duties as required to support project success
