Responsibilities

As a Shipping Assistant at DDT Holdings in Singapore, your role will be vital in providing robust support to our global trading team while closely collaborating with the Senior Shipping Assistant.

Your key responsibilities will encompass:

Logistics Management
  • Work closely with forwarders, customers, vendors, and suppliers to efficiently coordinate shipments.
  • Ensure accurate and timely completion of customs permit declarations, facilitating smooth cross-border trade.
  • Maintain precision in billing and invoicing processes.
L/C Management
  • Thoroughly analyze Letter of Credit (L/C) clauses, promptly sharing insights and potential risks with the business department.
  • Foster effective communication with banks, addressing L/C-related matters such as discrepancies, payments, and Bill of Exchange (draft).
  • Manage interactions about Documents Against Acceptance (D/A) and Bill of Exchange.
Document Preparation
  • Verify vendor-supplied shipping documents against purchase orders, sales contracts, and L/C requirements.
  • Collaborate closely with the finance team to ensure document accuracy before verification and approval.
  • Swiftly address any document-related concerns with vendors and business departments, ensuring timely resolutions.
  • Monitor the status of original documents from vendors and facilitate the issuance of necessary certificates.
  • Generate accurate shipping documents for customers within defined timeframes.
  • Organize the timely dispatch of original documents to customers upon receipt, closely monitoring their secure delivery.
