Job summary

NSL OILCHEM WASTE MANAGEMENT PTE. LTD. is seeking a skilled engineer to monitor and optimize the operation of an incineration plant and related process control equipment, ensuring smooth, safe performance and cost efficiency.

The role involves developing procedures, implementing preventive maintenance, compiling operation data, and supervising a team to uphold safety regulations and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years experience in operating incinerator and waste heat systems.
• Experience with steam systems and cooling towers is preferred.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and permit to work practices.

Job Description

• Monitor and trouble shoot Incineration plant operation and process control equipment for smooth operation.
• Develop operation procedures and methods for optimum operation (i.e., lower operation cost, minimum manpowerutilization, maximize machine capacity).
• Develop and practice Preventive Maintenance Schedules and regular maintenance schedules.
• Prepare and monitor operation data sheets and records.
• Regular patrolling and inspection of machine and equipment conditions and staffs 'duties.
• Monitor and brief team members on safety regulations at work.
• To monitor and supervise good house keeping practice at Incineration plant.
• To plan proper schedules of steam distribution, as well as arrange advance notice to other department if there is any interruption in stream supply
• Strictly follow ESH procedure & issue all necessary PTW and monitor contractor works.
• To compile and review monthly operation reports (e.g., cost, productivity, quality, non-conformances, etc.)
• Comply with legal requirement such as NEA Continuous air emission monitoring Unit, PUB sewage water discharge limit, MOM boilers inspection, Air compressors and so on
• To assist and support the Operation Maintenance of Incineration plant for Technical support (advice, material selection, Purchasing order, maintenance history records, and preventive maintenance plan).
• To train and guide the Incineration team members for operation and maintenance for Continuous improvement

Requirements

• At least Diploma or Degree in Mechanical /Chemical Engineering or equivalent
• At least 3-5 years experience in operating incinerator, waste heat boiler, cooling tower and demin water plant
• Possess Grade 1 or 2 Steam Engineer certificate
• Possess Managing WAH and Confined Space certificate will be an advantage
• Able to work in 12-hours rotating shift
