800 Super Waste Management Pte Ltd is seeking a Plant Operations Supervisor to oversee toxic industrial waste incineration, drive safety, efficiency, and regulatory compliance. You will guide the operations team, manage resources, and coordinate with maintenance and engineering for plant improvements.
Holders of a Mechanical or Electrical Engineering degree with 3+ years’ TIW experience are encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities
1. Always provides proactive supervision and directionto ensure the toxic industrial waste incineration isoperatingas tomaintainsafety, environmental, and operational priorities at theoptimumproductionlevel
2. To ensure critical plant parameters are within the target and provide guidance and advice for corrective actionin the event ofany plant upsets or hiccups which include conducting investigation/troubleshooting
3. Be knowledgeable on how to achieve operating targets and strategies (KPI), and lead the operating team to achieve thoseresults
4. To plan and communicate effectively with HOD to ensure the target isachieved
5. Take measures to keep sufficient levels of reagents and consumables for daily plantoperations
6. Toproperly planfor equipment handover to maintenancetoachieve minimum equipment downtime. This includes equipment handover planning for shutdown andturnaround
7. To review and update operational work process update and reviewi.erisk assessment (RA), standard operating procedure (SOP)
8. Assistin preparation andmonitormonthly budgets for reagents,consumables,and all other controllable operating expenses.
9. To support report writing/dashboard development to management on plant performance and compliance
10. To provide support to technical compliance,safetyand HR team related with operational training development and tracking within operationteam
11. Support the engineering department on plant improvement initiatives and capital projectbase
12. Take the lead inenergy management,improvement/modification initiatives. This includes management of change (MOC) implementation, design review, commissioning new facilities and lead Pre-Start Up Safety Review (PSSR)
13. Create andmaintainformaldocuments
14. Check standard and regulatorycompliance
15. Liaise with MOM and NEA for incinerator annual statuary inspections and report submissions.
16. Prepare procedures, check list and training materials to train technicians and operators.
17. Co-ordinate with maintenance, engineering department and contractor for attending the respective works
18. Co-ordinate withother departments on steam supply and waste handling
19. Coordinate with Purchase, Admin,accounts,and sales to send the related documents in correcttime
20. Sourcing materials,contractors,and spares and liaise with suppliers for materials and spare parts purchase anddelivery
21. Liaise with external parties and organizations for the commercial and technical improvements of theplant
22. Liaise with internal departments and external party for new projects execution.
23. Responsible for plant safety and housekeeping
24. To hold safety responsibilities for the role and report any unsafesituation
25. Any otherad-hocduties as and when, assigned by Plant Manager and Chief Engineer
Requirements:
A Diploma or Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or equivalent
At least 3 years relevant experience in toxic industrial waste industry
Strong leadership and supervisory skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team.
Strong knowledge in Microsoft Office to handle daily tasks and reporting
Excellent knowledge of safety protocols and regulations related to hazardous waste management.
Detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving abilities
