Job summary

GE Vernova is seeking a dedicated individual for night shift operations overseeing industrial gas turbine component repairs in Singapore. This role involves leading a team through various processes and ensuring adherence to safety, quality, delivery, cost, and emergency response protocols.

The ideal candidate will have a degree in Mechanical or a related field, a minimum of 3 years' experience in manufacturing, and excellent communication skills. Night shifts are mandatory for this position.

Responsible for night shift operations for industrial gas turbine component repairs; leading a team of technicians across multiple process areas. Accountable for safety, quality, delivery, cost and emergency response.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee night shift operations of incoming inspection, chemical stripping, thermal spraying and heat treatment.

• Conduct toolbox and daily management system (DMS) meetings covering safety, quality, delivery and cost (SQDC).

• Manage shift manpower deployment and attendance; escalate issues via MyAndon or other established channels.

• Ensure full compliance with EHS requirements including emergency response, incident investigation and reporting.

• Ensure full compliance with quality requirements; enforce the standard work, following work instructions and quality forms.

• Troubleshoot equipment and process issues; coordinate with Maintenance team to minimize downtime.

• Review risk assessments; conduct layered process reviews (LPR) and Gemba walks to identify and close gaps.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Degree or Diploma in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering or a related technical field.

• Minimum 3 years of experience in manufacturing environment with team lead or supervisory responsibilities.

• Strong interpersonal, communication and influencing skills.

• Able to work night shifts.

• Able to respond promptly to operational emergencies.
