Job summary

Croda Singapore Pte Ltd is seeking a maintenance technician to perform maintenance, repair and troubleshooting of plant equipment and site assets to ensure safe and reliable operations in a manufacturing environment.

You will diagnose plant and process issues, execute preventive and corrective maintenance, conduct risk assessments, and plan maintenance activities. The role requires a Diploma/NITEC in Mechanical Engineering and a Boiler Certification, with strong communication and teamwork skills.

Qualifications

• Experience in plant maintenance, troubleshooting and repair in manufacturing, chemical, or process industries.
• Strong knowledge of preventive and corrective maintenance practices.
• Familiarity with risk assessment processes and safety compliance requirements.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Good communication and problem-solving skills.
• Valid Boiler Attendant Certificate / Boiler Certification 1 is mandatory.

• Collaborate with internal stakeholders, contractors, and cross-functional teams for timely completion of work.
• Support and guide contractors, apprentices, and junior team members when required.
• Maintain high standards of housekeeping in workshops and work areas.

• Diagnose and resolve plant and process issues to minimize equipment downtime and optimize production performance.
• Execute preventive, corrective, and breakdown maintenance activities, including small improvement projects.
• Conduct risk assessments, comply with site safety standards, and adhere to relevant legislation and company procedures.
• Plan maintenance activities, identify required materials and spare parts, and maintain accurate maintenance records using computerized maintenance systems.
• Collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders, contractors, and cross-functional teams to ensure timely and safe completion of work.
• Support and guide contractors, apprentices, and junior team members when required.
• Maintain high standards of housekeeping within workshops and work areas.

Requirements

• Diploma, NITEC, or equivalent qualification in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.

• Proven experience in plant maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair within a manufacturing, chemical, or process industry environment.

• Strong knowledge of preventive and corrective maintenance practices.

• Familiarity with risk assessment processes and safety compliance requirements.
