Job summary

Energizer Singapore Pte. Ltd. is hiring a mechanical technician to maintain and upgrade plant equipment alongside production colleagues. The role supports and sometimes leads maintenance tasks to meet specs and schedules, while upholding safety and housekeeping standards.

The successful candidate will contribute to Continuous Improvement and Preventive Maintenance to drive higher line efficiency and performance in a manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

• NITEC or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering is required.
• Ability to read 2D/3D drawings and GD&T basics.
• Knowledge of motors, gearboxes, bearings, pneumatics and hydraulics.
• Strong troubleshooting on automated production lines.
• Able to train operators and technicians.

Responsibilities

• Maintain/upgrade plant mechanical equipment with production team.
• Support and lead maintenance activities as assigned by Supervisor/Engineer.
• Ensure maintenance plan meets specifications and schedule.
• Ensure safety and housekeeping are observed.
• Support CI and Preventive Maintenance to improve line efficiency.

Job description

Responsibilities

• To maintain/upgrade the plant mechanicalevquipment alongside with team of production colleagues and technicians.
• Support and at times lead mechanical maintenance activities as assigned by Supervisor/Engineer.
• Ensure the team meets established specifications and schedule for maintenance plan work.
• Ensure safety and housekeeping are always observed.
• Support production departments on Continuous Improvement and Preventive Maintenance to ensure high levels of line efficiency and performance.

Skillsets / Qualifications Needed

• NITEC / Higher NITEC / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Strong technical knowledge and hands‑on skills in a manufacturing environment for mechanical-related equipment.
• Good knowledge and hands‑on skills in using mechanical measurement tools such as vernier caliper, micrometer, dial gauge ,torque wrench, etc.
• Able to read and understand mechanical drawings and specifications. (2D/3D, GD&T basics)
• Knowledge in mechanical systems such as motors ,gear boxes, bearings, pneumatics, and hydraulics is a must.
• Knowledge in automated equipment and basic understanding of precision engineering (Tolerance, fits, and alignment.)
• Strong troubleshooting skills in automated production lines. (Equipment assembly & disassembly)
• Able to conduct training for operators and technicians.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., WSQ / safety certifications) are an advantage.
