Job summary

Clermont Group in Singapore seeks a Finance professional to support capital markets operations, manage trade settlements, portfolio reporting, cash and FX reconciliations, and ensure financial compliance.

You will lead process improvements and collaborate with senior stakeholders to ensure accurate financial management and operational efficiency across multi-jurisdiction setups.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or related field.
• Professional accounting qualification (CA, CPA) is advantageous.
• Familiarity with public and private markets.
• Strong knowledge of trade lifecycle and settlement cycles.
• Experience with custodians, brokers, and fund administrators.
• Knowledge of accounting principles, financial and P&L reporting, and tax regulations.
• Hands-on experience preparing management accounts, financial statements, and coordinating audits.

Responsibilities

• Provide trade support to Head of Trading to ensure smooth settlement of trades with brokers and custodians.
• Deliver accurate and timely portfolio management reporting for the Capital team, including quarterly financials and P&L reporting on positions.
• Manage daily cash, trade, and FX transactions, ensuring accurate settlement and reconciliation.
• Lead special projects with the Head of Capital, including implementing automation and process improvements across back-office operations.
• Support preparation of monthly accounts and financial statements, and coordinate audit activities to ensure compliance and accuracy.
• Handle tax compliance, filings, and management fee allocations across multiple jurisdictions.
• Support KYC and onboarding processes for brokers, custodians, and other counterparties to maintain regulatory compliance.
• Review and approve payments, expenses, VAT, and GST returns to ensure timely and accurate financial processing.
• Maintain and update the Capital Markets playbook and other operational documentation as required.
• Lodge votes promptly for proxy voting and AGM to uphold shareholder governance.
• Perform additional finance and operational tasks as needed to support team objectives and business continuity.

Job Summary
