Job summary

Aggreko plc in Singapore is seeking a Service Technician - Electrical / Mechanical to install, commission, decommission and maintain equipment. You will work with generators, transformers, load banks, and temperature control gear, travel for offshore jobs, and respond to breakdowns after hours.

This role requires a Higher NITEC or Diploma in related engineering, 2–3 years of hands-on experience, and a good command of English; you will join a safety-focused, training-driven team.

Qualifications

• Higher NITEC or Diploma in related engineering fields.
• 2-3 years’ experience in installation, commissioning, decommissioning, troubleshooting and repairs of equipment.
• Good command in English.

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical and mechanical installation tasks from engineering drawings or schematics.
• Troubleshoot machinery failures and perform remedial actions.
• Strip down and report condition of equipment and advise on spare parts; rebuild to high standard.
• Assemble and operate equipment including generators, transformers, load banks and temperature control equipment.
• Travel for on/offshore jobs on short notice; respond to emergency breakdowns after office hours.
• Use analog and digital measurement equipment for electrical and mechanical parameter measurements.

Job description

Bring your energy to Aggreko as a Service Technician - Electrical / Mechanical in Singapore. This role is responsible for carrying out installations, commissioning, decommissioning as well as maintenance and repairs of equipment.

What you’ll do as a Service Technician - Electrical / Mechanical:

• To perform all mechanical and electrical installation tasks in support of new and existing machinery working from engineering drawings or schematics, with minimum supervision. This will include equipment such as a generator, transformer, load bank or temperature control equipment.
• To troubleshoot machinery failure or breakdown (mechanical and electrical) and to perform remedial action while referring to equipment manuals or electrical schematics with minimum supervision. This will include equipment such as a generator, transformer, load bank or temperature control equipment.
• To strip down and report the condition of a wide range of equipment as stated earlier. To advise on spare parts and to rebuild to a high standard.
• To assemble and operate all equipment which includes the generator, transformer, load bank, temperature control equipment and other equipment.
• To be able and ready to travel for on/offshore jobs on a short notice and to be able to respond to any emergency breakdown calls after office hours.
• To be able to use a variety of analog and digital measurement equipment for electrical and mechanical parameter measurements.

What we're looking for:

• Higher NITEC in Electrical Engineering or Diploma in Electro-Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics or Electrical Engineering
• 2-3 years’ experience in installation, commissioning, decommissioning, troubleshooting and repairs of equipment.
• Good command in English
