Job summary

DIRECT SEARCH ASIA PTE. LTD. in Singapore is seeking an experienced Service Sales Manager (Team Lead) to drive service sales and business development for the Marine & Offshore sector, focusing on mechanical equipment, aftermarket services, repairs and spare parts.

You will lead the service sales team, build long-term relationships with shipowners, shipyards and operators, and work with engineers to deliver tailored solutions. Willingness to travel within Singapore and internationally is required.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Marine Engineering, Business, or related discipline.
• 5–10 years in service sales, technical sales or business development within Marine, Offshore, Shipping or Industrial equipment sector.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical equipment, marine machinery, maintenance, repair or aftermarket services.
• Proven track record in B2B sales and business development.
• Experience dealing with shipowners, ship managers, shipyards, offshore operators or marine engineering companies.
• Strong commercial and negotiation skills.
• Excellent communication, presentation and relationship-building abilities.
• Comfortable leading and developing a sales team.
• Willingness to travel within Singapore and internationally when required.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the Service Sales team, including sales targets, performance and business development activities.
• Develop and execute sales strategies for marine mechanical equipment and aftermarket services.
• Identify new business opportunities with shipowners, ship managers, shipyards, offshore companies and marine operators.
• Develop long-term relationships with key customers and decision-makers.
• Promote equipment servicing, repair, overhaul, maintenance, spare parts and retrofit solutions.
• Prepare and negotiate commercial proposals, quotations and service contracts.
• Conduct customer visits, site meetings and technical discussions to understand customer requirements.
• Work closely with service engineers, technical teams and operations to develop suitable solutions.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activities and customer requirements to identify new opportunities.
• Manage the sales pipeline and provide regular sales forecasts and market updates to management.
• Support regional business development activities across SoutheastAsia and APAC, whererequired.
• Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction and develop repeat and recurring service business.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Service Sales Manager (Team Lead) to drive service sales and business development activities for the Marine & Offshore sector.
