Job summary

Otis Worldwide Corporation in Singapore is seeking an apprentice mechanic to train under an experienced elevator mechanic. You will learn the trade on site, visiting locations to understand both electronic and mechanical systems, and you will perform preventive maintenance while developing skills toward becoming a qualified elevator mechanic.

You will engage in hands-on learning, gain exposure to IoT tools, and join a team that emphasizes safety and quality as part of a long-term career path

• You are willing to study to become a qualified elevator mechanic.
• You have an interest to pursue a career as an elevator mechanic/installer.

Responsibilities

• Learn on site with a qualified elevator mechanic to learn the trade.
• Familiarize yourself with the basic workings of an elevator through site visits and formal learning.
• Learn how electronic and mechanical systems work and how to connect components to form complex systems.
• Carry out preventive maintenance on contracted equipment and check safety devices.
