Job summary

Otis SE is seeking an Installation Supervisor/Foreman in Singapore to manage the full project cycle from coordination to handover, ensuring quality, safety, and customer service. The role requires a Diploma or Higher Nitec in engineering with at least 5 years of supervisory experience in lifts/escalators installations.

You will lead installers and subcontractors, liaise with clients and civil contractors, and ensure site progress aligns with plans while upholding ISO procedures and Otis

Qualifications

• Diploma or Higher Nitec in an Engineering discipline.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience as Installation Supervisor/Foreman or equivalent preferred.
• Experience supervising a team of installers or testers and subcontractors.
• Strong technical knowledge of installation works for lifts/escalators.
• Knowledge of ISO procedures and quality systems.
• Team player with a results‑oriented mindset.

Responsibilities

• Safe execution: ensure Otis Safety Requirements (OSS) compliance for work activities.
• Quality & Finance: implement and maintain ISO 9000 procedures; manage project within budget and timeline; explore variation orders to improve profitability; manage internal and external stakeholders.
• Supervision & execution: determine actual building location, liaise with Civil Contractors/client on delivery and storage of equipment; ensure site dimensions match shop drawings; monitor progress and schedule installation; ensure subs meet scope within budget and timeline.
• People Management: supervise discipline, morale, and performance of subcontractor and installation team.

General Scope of Work

The incumbent will manage the full cycle of the project from coordination to handover, serving as a focal point of all the stakeholders in the projects - externally and internally - ensuring the projects are managed well from perspective of quality, safety, financial, and customer service.

Job Responsibilities

• Safety – Ensure Otis Safety Requirements work compliance (OSS) pertaining to work activities are being adhered to.
• Quality & Finance
  • Implements and maintains all ISO 9000 procedures.
  • Manage the project within budget and timeline.
  • Explore opportunities for variation orders to improve profitability of the projects.
  • Manage internal and external stakeholders for highest deliverables.
• Supervision & execution
  • Ascertain the actual location of building and study details of the lifts/lift hoist -ways/escalators.
  • Liaises with Civil Contractors / client on delivery and storage of equipment and materials.
  • Ensures the site structural dimensions correspond with the shop drawings.
  • Monitors progress of construction and plan schedule for installation.
  • Ensure sub-contractors fulfil their work scope within the budget and timeline without compromising safety and quality.
• People Management -Controls the discipline, morale and performance of subcontractor and installation team.

Job Requirements

• Diploma or Higher Nitec in an Engineering discipline.
• Minimum 5 years’ similar experiences as an Installation Supervisor/Foreman or equivalent preferred. Fresh graduate or less experienced candidates are welcome.
• Have prior supervisory experiences to manage a team of installers or testers and subcontractors.
• Have strong technical knowledge of installation works of lifts and escalators products.
• Have knowledge of ISO procedures.
• Team player and results-oriented.
